If you’ve ever been to Harbour Island, you already know there’s magic in the air here. So when I decided to host my very first Sip & Paint at the beautiful Pink Sands Resort, I knew it had to be something special.
Set on their Garden Terrace, the evening was everything I hoped for – relaxed, creative, and full of good energy. The sway of the trees, twinkling lights, and sounds of laughter floating through the garden made it feel like one of those nights you just don’t forget.
I partnered with the talented Bahamian artist Jerreth Albury, who guided everyone step-by-step through painting the island’s unofficial mascot -the Rooster. If you know, you know! These colorful little characters are everywhere, and honestly, they’re part of what makes the island so special.
Everyone added their own flair some bold, some abstract, some so good they could’ve been hanging in a gallery. Midway through the night, a young lady visiting the island drove by, spotted us having the best time, and asked her parents to let her join in. Five minutes later, she had a brush in hand and the biggest smile on her face. That moment? Pure Harbour Island magic.

The Pink Sands F&B team really showed out serving up delicious hors d’oeuvres and crisp bubbly that kept everyone smiling between brushstrokes. Every detail was perfection, from the setup to the service. One of my favorite parts of the night was just watching everyone unwind, connect, and create. We laughed, painted, and toasted under the stars…the perfect mix of art, island vibes, and good company. Huge shoutout to the entire team for creating such a beautiful space and atmosphere for this event, it truly set the tone for what’s to come.

I’m so thankful for everyone who came out to support this first event & and especially to Jerreth for his creativity and energy. Seeing locals and visitors come together like that reminded me why I love doing what I do.

As one of our guests, Kamilah, said:
“Lovely experience! Was great to be a part of something different on Harbour Island.”
Different is exactly what I was going for…something fresh, inspiring, and full of community spirit.
This Sip & Paint was just the beginning. I’m already planning more Experiences around Harbour Island & Eleuthera, from intimate creative sessions to lifestyle events that blend culture, travel, and pure island joy!
